Arch pain
Symptoms
- Pain experienced through the inner arch when walking or attending a specific activity
- Pain sometimes radiates up the inner leg around the ankle
- Soft tissue swelling on the inside of the foot or along the Posterior tibial tendon
- Prominent navicular
- Having problems going up on tip toes
Adult-Acquired Flat Foot
Due to age and mechanical changes in the foot the medical longitudinal arch can over time collapse or flatten.
Treatments
- Orthoses to help stabilize and support the arch
- Anti inflammatories
- Strapping and change of footwear
- Modification of activity if required
- In severe cases a surgical boot may be required
